Dribbling and 1v1 training.
Beat defenders with confidence.
Take players on. Win more one-on-ones.
Few moments in football are as exciting as a player beating a defender one-on-one. Dribbling training at Dynamic Football helps players develop the close control, change of direction and confidence they need to take players on and create chances.
Great dribblers are not just skilful. They know when to dribble, which way to go and how to use a change of pace to get away. We coach both the technique and the decision making.
What dribbling training covers.

Why dribbling matters
When a team needs to break down a defence, a player who can beat an opponent one-on-one creates space and chances for everyone. Dribbling is also a huge confidence builder. Players who believe they can beat a defender play with more freedom and enjoy the game more.
Technique and decision making
Dribbling training starts with technique: keeping the ball close, using both feet and changing direction sharply. But we also coach the decisions. When should a player dribble, and when should they pass? Which side should they attack? How do they use their body to protect the ball?
Players who make good decisions dribble at the right moments, which makes them far more effective.

We use repetition to make moves automatic, then add pressure so players learn to use them in game-like situations. For tips you can use straight away, read our guide on how to dribble past defenders.
Express yourself
Expression is one of our core values: be yourself and play with confidence and freedom. Trying a skill and losing the ball is far better for development than never trying at all. Our dribbling training creates an environment where players feel free to try.
The building blocks of a great dribbler
Great dribbling is built on ball mastery and close control. Players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet can focus on the defender instead of the ball. That is why our dribbling training links closely with our first touch and ball mastery training.
From there, we add change of pace, change of direction and simple moves, then put them under pressure so players learn to use them in real games.
Dribbling for every position
Dribbling is not just for wingers and strikers. Midfielders who can carry the ball past a pressing opponent and defenders who can step out with the ball are hugely valuable. We tailor dribbling training to the player's position and the situations they face most.
Two coaches. One standard.
Good to know.
Is dribbling training suitable for beginners?
Yes. We start with close control and build up to moves and one-on-ones at the right pace for each player.
Will dribbling training help in games?
Yes. We focus on skills and decisions that players use in real matches.
What else should players practise?
Ball mastery and weak-foot work both make players better dribblers.
