Keep kids playing, loving and improving.
Keep kids playing, loving and improving.
When more kids play, love the game and stay in it longer, football gets better at every level, from the backyard to the big stage. That is why junior football training sits at the heart of Dynamic Football.
Our junior soccer training in Melbourne builds strong foundations in a positive environment. Young players work on their technique, grow their confidence on the ball, and learn habits that keep them improving long after the session ends.
Every junior player is different. Tell us their age and what they want to work on, and we will shape the training around them.
What junior players work on.

- 01
Ball mastery
Comfort on the ball with both feet, built through repetition and fun.
- 02
First touch and passing
Controlling the ball cleanly and moving it on with purpose.
- 03
Confidence
Players who feel confident enjoy the game more and keep playing it.
- 04
Teamwork and discipline
Better together, on and off the pitch. Show up, work hard and do the fundamentals well.
Why the junior years matter most
The junior years are when players build the foundations they will rely on for the rest of their football lives. Skills like close control, using both feet and a clean first touch are far easier to develop when players are young and practising often.
Just as important, the junior years shape how a child feels about football. Players who enjoy the game and feel confident keep playing. Players who feel pressured or left out often drop away. Our junior football training is designed to build both skill and enjoyment.
Fun is not optional
Kids learn best when they are having fun. Our sessions are active, positive and full of touches on the ball. We celebrate effort and improvement, encourage players to try new skills, and treat mistakes as a normal part of learning.
Enjoyment is one of our core values, because players who love the game keep playing it.

Book a sessionBuilding skills that transfer to games
Junior training should make a visible difference on the weekend. We focus on the skills young players use most in matches: receiving the ball, keeping it under pressure, passing accurately, dribbling past opponents and finishing chances.
For extra practice at home, try our 15-minute ball mastery routine and first touch drills.
A word for parents
Parents play a huge role in a young player's development. Encouraging practice at home, keeping the drive home positive and praising effort over results all help build confidence. Our parents' guide covers what to expect and how to support your child.
Coaches young players look up to
Josh Bigos has represented some of Victoria's most respected clubs, including South Melbourne, Bentleigh Greens and Malvern City, and coaches at Wesley College and with the Australian Football Group. Che Gorr Burchmore joined South Melbourne at 13 and made his professional debut in the Oceania Football League. Young players learn from coaches who have played at a high level and who genuinely enjoy helping the next generation improve.
Two coaches. One standard.
Good to know.
What age groups do you coach?
Get in touch with the player's age and we'll let you know how we can help.
My child is a beginner. Is that okay?
Yes. Good coaching should help every player grow, regardless of their starting point.
How can my child improve between sessions?
Football starts at home. A ball at your feet every day beats any single session, so we encourage players to keep practising.
Will my child have fun?
Yes. Enjoyment is one of our core values. Players who love the game keep playing it.
Do I need to stay during the session?
Let us know your situation when you book and we'll talk through the details.
How do I book?
Use the booking form on our contact page, or email us with "START". Tell us the player's age and what they want to work on, and we'll find a time and location that works for you.
