Parents' guideDynamic Football01

For parents.

Helping your child love the game and keep improving.

OverviewDynamic Football02

Your child. Their goals. Our coaching.

As a parent, you want your child to enjoy football, build confidence and keep improving. That is exactly what Dynamic Football is built for. This guide explains how our training works, what to expect and how you can support your child at home.

We believe football starts at home, that every player deserves proper coaching, and that confidence and enjoyment keep players in the game for life.

Why extra training helps

Club training is shared between a whole squad, so each player only gets a limited number of quality touches. Extra training gives your child more time on the ball, more feedback and more repetition of the skills that matter most to them. That is where real improvement happens.

What to expect

Every Dynamic Football session is built around the player. We start by asking what your child wants to work on, then plan the training to get them there. Sessions are active and positive, with lots of touches on the ball and clear coaching points.

Our coaches, Josh Bigos and Che Gorr Burchmore, have played at a high level and genuinely enjoy helping young players improve. You can meet the coaches here.

How to support your child

  • Praise effort, not just results. Children can control how hard they work, not whether they win.
  • Keep the drive home positive. Ask what they enjoyed rather than analysing every mistake.
  • Encourage practice at home. A ball at your feet every day beats any single session.
  • Be patient. Growth takes time. Every player develops at a different pace.

Practice ideas for home

You do not need a field or fancy equipment. A ball and a wall are enough for many of the best drills. Try our first touch drills, our 15-minute ball mastery routine or our weak foot training guide.

Choosing the right training

Not sure which training is right for your child? Our guide to choosing soccer training in Melbourne covers what to look for and the questions to ask. Or simply get in touch and tell us about your child, and we will recommend where to start.

Keeping football fun

Above all, we want children to love football. When more kids play, love the game and stay in it longer, football gets better at every level. Enjoyment is one of our core values, because players who love the game keep playing it.
